The conference language is English. No simultaneous interpretation will be provided.
Entrance to the conference area and to the various social events will be limited to badge holders only. If the badge is lost, please contact the registration desk. A fee of NOK 50 will be charged for each new badge.
You are requested to arrange your own health and travel insurance. The conference organiser is not responsible for any injuries or damages occurring during the conference.
Norway has a maritime climate, which means that the weather is temperate, no extreme heat or cold. In October the weather is usually wet, but with chances of sun. The daytime temperatures are around 5-15 °C. We advise you to bring along a raincoat and an umbrella.
Electricity in Norway is 220-volt AC. Plugs are European standard with two round pins.
Currency & credit cards
The currency in Norway is the NOK (Norwegian kroner). Major credit cards are accepted in hotels, taxis, restaurants and shops.
Service charges are always included.
Local public transportation can bring you back and forth between the conference and the hotel all day. There will be arranged shuttlebuses in the morning and in the afternoon, to and from the conference centre. Departure times for the shuttle buses will be announced.
Accommodation for the conference will be at Thon Hotel Ski. Accessible by train or bus from Oslo city.
